Hunting Season Waterbury, Oct. 31. — Although Superintendent John W. Titcomb of the state fish and game commission does not want the hunting aeason extended, Governor Templeton today sald he was open to arguments. Sporting clubs have asked the gov- ernor what he intends to do. The governor sald he felt hunters who keep dogs the year around simply for use in the short hunting aeason and who pay the state about $50,000 in hunting licenses should have some say in the matter and he intends to respect their views. The story of Theodore Roosevelt was given by a group of boys at the meeting of the East Street School Parents and Teachers’ association in the school bullding last evening, and Rev. J. E. Klingberg delivered an address, George Ward sang and Harry Whatnall rendered several pi- ano selections. Music was also fur- nished by the Central Junior High school orchestra. An opportunity was given to the parents, to inspect the rooms where their children attend classes. Refreshments were served.
