DR HILL 0 BE STAGED Winchell Smith Directs Rural Gomedy at Sonth Church The trials and tribulations of the old man who paid the city govern- ment $15 for an adding machine and then because of political complica- tions, red tape and other things ex- perienced all sorts of difficulties get- ting either machine or his money back, are portrayed in a clever and screamingly funny manner in “Sys- tem,” a rustic comedy which will be given by the Brotherhood of the South Congregational church Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. The play was written by Rev. Dr. George W. C. Hill and is being direct- ed by Winchell Smith, famous play- wright. The scenery is by Earle Bishop. So carefully have plans been laid out for the production that a model of the stage setting has been on ¢xhibition at the church office for several weeks. Burgess UNIQUE CONTEST Stanley Memorial Church Adopts New Method of Raising Funds for Sun- day School Budget. A unique manmer in which to raise money for the general Sunday school fund has been adopted by the young people of the Stanley Memorial church. Instead of the entire Sun- day school having a social, ice cream festival, or some other affair, each in- dividual class will 'have its own method. The plan has been arranged in the form of a contest and a suit- able prize will be awarded the win- nerss A class of young women, of which Mrs. R. N.
