At Wednesday derman F. night's session Al- R. Gilpatric of that ward, nppmu'm('w be of an open mind, his |being the motion to have the matter referred to a committee. The reso- lution was moved by Councilman Clif- ford Hellberg of the third ward. Coun- cilman Howard Timbrell did not ex- press himself on the subject, leaving only Councilmen ¥, 8. Cadwell and M. 8. Porter in the third ward who are Kpawn absolutely opposed. This leaves the opposition ward with but two votes to count upon with surety. Expressions by other councilmen in the other wards indicate that those in favor are far greater in number than those opposed.
