The institute will be governed by a board of 15 trustees, and will be ad- ministered “without regard to the special interests of any group in the body poljtic, whether political, social or economic,” according to the an- nouncement. The Carnegie Corporation has agreed to finance the undertaking for a period of 10 years at a total cost ! of $1,650,000, payable to the Insti- tute's trustees at the rate of $200,- 000 annually for the first five years, $150,000 a year for the next three years and $100,000 each for the last two years. The corporation will have mo control over these funds after they are pald to the Institute.
