HEW.L.HATCHZG INSURANCE Sity REAL ESTATE HALL G0OD BLOOD KEEPS PERSON IN HEALTH Osteopath Also Tells How to Avoid Many Operations Cleveland, July 29.—Normal blood, both in quantity and quality, will pre- vent the presence of disease, Dr. W. C. Curtis Brigham of Los Angeles, de- clared here today before the closing session of the 25th annual conven- tion of the American Osteopathic as- sociation. What are termed circulatory whirl- pools in the child's body are caused by abnormal postures, Dr. Brigham explained. These circulatory whirl- pools in addition to poison from im- proper diet and poor care of the teeth, cause chronic diseases, and if they are properly cared for in early youtk, many operations will be avoid- ed with a saving estimated at two billion dollars annually, he said. Psychologically the brain is the least important part of the body and the pituitary body, one of the duct- less glands, is by far more important, Dr. Efnest E. Tucker of New York, told the delegates. The mind is the action of the body rather than of the brain. F. A. Covey of Portland, Me., réad a report of experiments. He stated vaccination has recently been found to transmit a mild degree of tuber- culosis and venereal disease. This can be prevented, he declared, by expos- ure of the vaccine:to blue and yellow light. The alleged violation of profession- al ethics by Dr. H. L. Russell of Buf- falo, in testifying in the Stillman dr- vorce case was up before the house of delegates of the association yester- day and a heated discussion ensued. The New York. Association of Os- teopaths was ordered to make a thor- ough investigation and submit a re- port with recommendations to the national organization. GOING TO SHRINE Rev. John T. Winters, pastor of St. Mary's church, will head a pacty of parishioners on a trip to the Shrine of St. Anne de Beaupre in Canada next week. The party will leave on August 3, traveling by the way of Springfield, Mass. About 12 days will be taken on the trip. Rev. William Krause a curate at St Mary's church is now at the shrine. MORE SPANIARDS LEAVE. There was another exodud of Spaniards from the city today, when a truck load left for the tobacco fleld up state. According to the proprie- tor of Fonda Espanola on Commer- cial street, there are but ten Span- jards left at his place now. e ——— CROWLEY BROS. INC.
