Bonnomo Almost Loses Trying to Save Wife. March 1.— Mrs. Helen Bonnomo of New York, Life ’oothbay Harbor, Me., wife of Capt. Emil Bonnomo of the four-masted schooner Margaret Thomas, was drowned and her hus- band almost lost his life in an un- successful attempt to save her when she fell ffom the gangplank while go- ing aboard the schooner. The captain jumped from the wharf and held his wife's head above water, while shouting for help, but strength gave out, and both drowning when Chief Engineer Hen- rv Gufson pulled the skipper out of the water with a rope.
