At the mid-winter community gath- ering of the Lincoln strcet school Parents and Teachers' Association last night, it was voted o appropriate $30 from the association treasury to the Hoover fund for the relief of Europe's starving children. Principal Louis P. Slade of New Britain High school was scheduled to speak but was unable to attend. His place on the program was taken by Fred D. Walsh, Jr., executive secretary of the “Save Our Schools” campaign and a prominent member of the Con- necticut State Teachers’ Association. Mr. Wish was very interesting. He outlined the need of improvements in the schools throughout the state, handling his subject in a capable man- ner. An entertainment was provided by the children of the sixth grade who performed their parts with lzreltl credit to themselves and to their teacher. Lynch's orchestra furnished music. “Y"” TEAM LOSES AGAIN. Locals Put Up Fast Game Against Atlas A. C. at New Haven. The New Britain Y. M. C.
