The new Trumbull Electric com- pany hospital, recently completed, is one of the finest and best equipped of its kind in the vicinity as far as rn_ctury hosptals are concerned. The réoms are located in the new build- ing occupying floor space covering three complete rooms. Mrs. Edith H. Marcham, has been placed in charge. Shé has been with the Trum- bull Electric company for a number of years and is a competent nurse. The new place is equippdd with every possible accessory for first aid work. A- girls' recreation room is the room next to the hospital. In this room, recently furnished with loung- ing chairs and tables, the facjory girls may ea their meals. All "the conveniences needed for cooking are present. A library, containing 100 or more books, is open’to factory em- ployes. These books can - be taken home for a period of two weeks. Fic- tion and instructive books compose the library. One of the most important features | of the new hospital is the clinic. Dr. | J. N. Bull is at the hospital every | day betwcen 11 and 12 o'clock, and any person ailing from sickness or injuries muy call on him and receive treatment and advice. This method has helped greatly in reducing a‘great amount of sickness. Xmas Seals Selling. The Christmas seals for the_Tuber- culosis Relie! fund have been selling well throughout the town. The school children aro doing much to help. Principal Orrin L. Judd of the Plain- ville Grammar School has charge of the school children’s work in the drive. There have besn Inquiries made as to where persons may obtain the seals. Headquarters have been estab- lished at Ryder’s store for this pur- pose. All proceeds of the seals will be turned over to the state relief fund. By this method Plainville will not be compelled to pay expenses out of the b ¢ WIllng Nurse's fund for tuberculosis.
