Snow, wealthy patent attorney of this city, instigated a plot to end her life. Yes- terday Mrs. Snow described three plans for killing her. She told the court that Mrs. Edna P. Acker, pri- vate detective, who, with Snow and Hugh Milton Langdon, a chauffeur, was arrested on a charge of beinz implicated in the alleged conspiracy, had confessed to her that one plan was to bring about her fall from the top of a high building or cliff. Another method discussed, she tes- tified, was the administering of poi- but both schemes, she charged, were abandoned in favor of a plan to drug her during an automobile ride. The machine, Mrs. Snow declared Mrs. Acker had admitted, was then to be wrecked, making it appear that she had been ‘killed in the accident. Langdon, it was charged, was to have driven the automobhile. Mrs. Snow testified tlat Mrs. Acker | eame to her home Monday and con- fessed that she had been hired by Snow to help caure her death. For months Mrs. Acker had posed as her friend, she said, and had dined with her on numerous occasions with gov- ernment officials and members of the diplomatic set. Henry E. Davis, attorney for Mrs. Snow, testified that he had been called to Mrs. Snow's home Monday while Mrs, Acker was there. Mrs. Acker, he said, called Snow by telephone and told him that “everything had been .
