No. The Hartford bowling team minus the services of Fido O’'Brien and Andy McCarthy, defeated the New Britain five on the Casino alleys last evening by one pin in the total pinfall of three games. The final scores were Hartford 1493, New Britain 1492. The Capitol City quintet started with a rush, win- ning the first game by 30 pins, Caruth, Watersz and Freddie Danlon hitting the timbers for better than century marks. In this game Anderson was the only local bowler who bowled over the three figure mark. In the second and third games the locals improved and won each game, but the big lead of Hartford could not be overcome.
