Clarence Bennett with his partner. The master of ceremonies was Howard Platt, who kept the ball rolling and was responsible for much of the mer- riment. The hall was beautifully decorated. The walls of the main reception room were in black and yellow and in the dining room pink and white. The lights were cleverly covered, giving a subdued glow suitable far the weird dress. The reception hall was ar- ranged in the form of a cosy lounging room where the guests were seated to watch the dancers. At 12:30 a. m. all were invited into the dining room where supper was served, during which a toast was given to Howard Platt, the originator of the dancing class. Confetti and paper streamers were distributed. Music was furnished by Dan’s orchestra from New Haven. Mrs. Dody is leaving soon far Bel-, laire, Fla., where she is to conduct a winter dancing school. During her stay here she acquired a wide circle of friends and her dancing classes were very popular. She plans to re- open her classes at the Griswold, New London, next summer. $8,000 ATTACHMENT.
