Mr. Rockefeller also gave (o the commission the statement of denial which he made to the press on April 25 last, in answer to the charge that correspondence filed with the commis- sion shews that he excerised “a per- sonal influence that extended even to tht state house at Denver, and pre- sumed to dictate letters that went out to the presidént of the United States and to the governors of the states, over the signature of the governor of Colorado.” Advice Not Asked. He declared that "All policies, well as maeter of detail were de- cided upon and carried out by the executive officers at Denver without asking our advice. “Neither by New York nor T directed the conduct c¢f the strike.
