O'Ryan, commanding the national guard of New York state, 15 making preparations to mobilize at Vancortlandt Park in this city on Sep- tember 25 next, 15,000 men of the New York National Guard, accords ing to an announcement today. The National Guard constitutes the Sixth division of the United States army. "T'he purpose of mobilization is to give a public demonstration of a tactical division equipped for fleld service. The men, it is stated, will be in fleld service uniform with full field | equipment, including machine gun |companies and regimental trains. !| There will be eight regiments of in. fantry, eleven batteries of field artil- lery, pioneers, pontoneers, signal bat- talions, field hospitals and ambulance companies.
