UNIONS MEET AT HARTFORD JUNE 5 New Britain Organization to Join in Field Day and BISI(_GI Picnic. The Hartford and New Britain Christian Endeavor unions will meet at Elizabeth Park, Hartford, on Sat- 5, for a fieid day and bas- urday, June 5, ket picnic, the arrangements which have just been completed. New Britain will send a big delegation to Hartford with the expectation of win- ning the athletic meet. Two tennis courts and two baseball diamonds have been reserved at the park and quoits and other games may be played. The athletic meet will be held from 2:30 until 5 o’clock and in- cludes a hundred yard dash for men, a fifty-yard dash for women, an ob- stacle race for women, a ladies’ base- ball game, pole vault, a mixed relay race betweens teams composed of four men and four women from each union running high jump, potato race, a men's baseball game and a running broad jump. The basket lunch will take place at 5 o’clock. Points will be awarded as follo First pace, 5 points; second place, 3 points; third place, 1 point; relay race, 9 points; ball game, 9 points. Entries close May 16. The field day will be postponed if the weather is stormy. Special trolleys will leave New Brit- ain Triangle at 1:07 p. m. and return- ing will leave Elizabeth park at 6:15.
