Coach Spaeth Shifts Three Men on Port Side Back and Forth, Princeton, April 9.—There were nu- merous shakeups in the Princeton crew yesterday, which showed con- clusively that no definite combination has been selected. It appears to be tho port side of the boat that worries Coach Spaeth, for it was on this side that the shifting was done. Pyne, Quimby and Gad®busch were tried out at the following respective com- binations: 2, 4, 6; 2, 6, 4 and 6, 4, 2. The last combination worked the most smoothly for placing thevetran and finished oarsmen. Pyne, in the walst of the boat, kept the men together. Dr. Spaeth has kept twenty-one of the candidates for the varsity boat and twenty-one for the freshmen elght here during the Baster vacation for practice. The men will be sent out for rows both morning and afternoon until Saturday, when they will rest untll Monday. In regard to the work of the crew Coach Spaeth gave out the following statement: “We have been greatly favored up to the present time with fine weather and some good work Las been done. Time trials will be held during the holidays and a pre- liminary firet varsity boat in all prob- ability will be picked. A new shell is expected to arrive within the next few days.” o O st Na.uve Eggs, 27c doz. Russell Bros, —advt. PLAYER INJURED, Newark, April 9.—Arlington A.
