Mrs. Peterkin has been invited to assist at several pretty affairs being given this week in hon- or of Miss Frances Bond, whose ap- proaching marriage is one of the most interesting events now being looked forward to by Tampa society, brother, Thomas Vaiden, umpire in the Florida State league, received a tel- eeram from his old home in Vaiden, Miss., yesterday afternoon, an- nouncing the death of his father, H. M. Vaiden, one of the oidest res- idents in that part of the State. His death occurred about ten days ago, and relatives have been for several days endeavoring to ascertain the Whereabouts of the Tampan . Young Vaiden has been plariny baseball in the Georgia State league all summer, and his people thought that he was in Thomasville, Ga.
