Mrs. Q-rman is southern representative of the California Perfumery Co., and has been very successful with her iwork, in which she has been en- |gaged for some years. Speaking ot ‘the weather, she declares she never experienced such warm weather as she found in Alabama, one cotton mill she saw having to stop work, close down all the windows and in- fuse cool air into the building from & cooling plant built for the pur- ‘pose. On leaving Jacksonville, she found the weather much cooler and she is glad to back where breezes ool the atmosphere and make sum- mer more pleasant than in any oth- er Southern State. July 4, the Telegram will take one of the three holidays it observes each year, the two others being Thanksgiving and Christmas. Practically all other institutions in the city take a weekly half-holiday, and rest or play at other times while we are digging; hence, our readers hsve always rather seemed glad when our hard-working force have been given a day of rest. The carrier boys will close up their week’s business by making their collections tomorrow (Friday) morning, instead of Saturday morn- ing as usual. Please help us by having the little amount ready for them. Miss Myrta Johnson, of Slocum, Ala., returned home today after a two weeks' visit with her aunt, Mrs. . E. Hawkins, of this city. Murdaugh, the Harpers, Fred Bass, and others of the bunch of “good fellows,” who will take de- light in looking after the comfort and pleasure of their brothers. of MEDULLA NEWS NOTES Medulla, July 1.—June has passed leaving behind the influence of her sunshine and showers. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday of last week the Primative Baptists held their first annual or communion meeting at Providence church. Rep- resentatives of the order were here from Hillsborougr, Pasco and DeSoto counties. The ministers in attend- ance were Elders M. L. Gilbert of Dade City, W. M. Whilden and Hav- ill of Plant City also D. Wilkinson of Fort Meade. The congregations were large and the best of order pre- vailed. After preaching Sunday the ordinances of the bread and wine and the washing each other's feet was attended to, then the parting hand was taken. Thus ended a three days’ worship of God long to be remembered by those present. Mr. Miller, the new ice man, is lo- cated in the house just vacated by Mr. G. J. Smith, merchant Mizpah Circle Mizpah Circle of the First Baptist church met yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. R. E. Scipper. In spite of the rain the ladies enjoyed a delightful time, about twelve be- ing present. New officers were elect- ed: Mrs. H. H. Register, leader; Mrs. McClelland, secretary; Mrs. Kupp, treasurer. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Flanagan on July 15. Munn Wedded to Miss Lucile Bennett at High Noon Today A very quiet wedding occurred at high noon today at All Saints ‘Epis- copal church when Mr. W. H. Munn in the holy bonds of matrimony, Rev. Richard Bolton performing the cere- mony . Only the immediate relatives wit- solemn beautiful service. The bride entered the church on the arm of her brother to the strains of Mendelssohn’s Wedding March, played by Mrs. S. T. Fletcher and was met at the altar by the groom. The bride was beautiful in a white duchess satin gown entrain, and wore a bridal veil caught up with orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of lilies of the val- ley and white roses. Immediately after the ceremony the bride and groom, accompanied by those who witnesses the ceremony __the bride's mother, brother and sister-in-law, and Mrs. Fletcher and Rev.
