Walden, the Magician, Will Amuse and Mystify This Evening. — Today has been another fine day for the Chautauqua and the sessions have been well attended. *sunshine’” Hawks, that sunny lecturer who at- ways carries i message of love and sood will to his hearers, conducted the Bible hour, and in his address ho emphasized the fact that each indi- vidual makes his own world, and that after all the three sreatest taings that really matter in lite are o “be good, do pood and wile.” 17 there were more people in the world who would follow these gimpla sug- gostions, the whole world would be a e tter place in which to live and all n'..mlnlnl would ho happier. o'cloch Superintendent \d.un\ suve o lecture on physical cattare, end betng a splendid exame 1"' of tue physical manhood, he in- s hearers' interest, and it bis demonstrations he pave several o exercises h, it carvied oit, will relieve indizestion @ud oth- or complaints of the stomach. It is hard to estimaete the good that Mr. and Mrs. Adams have accomplishic! through their daily lectures on health and physical culture, and if tor no other reason than to derive the benefit of these lectures, Chau- tauquans have more than been re- paid for the expense incurred by these sessions alone. This afternoon the Illinois Quar- tctte opened the program with a hall hour concert, and was followed by a lecture by Miss Moddie O. Hamil- ten, whieh s being enjoyed by all mesent. Y Last Night's Program. ¢ Last night a large audience was present and enjoyed the evening's entertainment, which opened with a prelude concert by the lllivois Glee Club, which was very fine, indeed. Madame Riheldaffer made her last appearance on this occasion, eiving several beautiful numbers, which greatly enjoyed, br. Stanley Krebs, who s a gene eral farorite, delivered his last lec- ture, talking on hypnotisin and mess merism. In the course of his lec- ture he demonstrated what an intlu- ence suggestion has over the lives of people. If one tells a child he is to» grow up to be no account, and has this drummed into him daily, he very often carries out the predic- tion. 1If, on the other hand, a child is told he is good, he feels that he 13 bound to live up to the reputation he has thus acquired. His lecture was belpful and interesting in the exe treme Tonight's Program. Tonight will one of the best of the session—oue that {appeals to both old and young, for ‘ alden, the Magician, is to enters Ctain and mystify, Walden himself posseszes a pleas- be pro ns jing personality and lan ease and a eri es him on a par with the create es of the great. This sleizht-of-hand work appears to be equal to Herr- mann or Kellar. There seems to be n;, end to his mysterious doings. GOT FAMOUS AND QUIT LOVING HER Muncie. Ind., Feb. 20.—Effie Har- rold. wife of Orville Harrold, the grand opera tenor, was granted a di- voree from her singer husband this afternoon before Judse Van Atta, in the Delaware Superior Court, on the crounds of eruel and inhuman treat- ment. Mrs Harrold told the court that her hushband on several occa- sions told her he did not love her any more. Mrs. Harrold. in her complaint, said that <he and her hus- bhand were a happy couple before Harro'd became famous as a singer, and saye Harrold’s success killed all bis love for her. Harrold was In conrt with his attorner. and he ad- mitted that he did not love his wife any more. e = -
