For a time, hopes of the 35 po- lice engaged in the search and of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lalor Jr., were bright. They found a child’s footprints on the seventh green of the Miami Country Club but Shapley’s shoes didn't mateh. | Bloodhounds couldn’t follow the} trail. The golf course is about five blocks from the Red Fez Club, the Shriner’s clubhouse where 500 } children were guests at a party. Shapley was one of five children taken to the party from the Mary King school for exceptional chil- dren.
