WHITE AP Staff Writer It took the Soviet press 12 days to endorse Red China’s sentencing of 13, Americans on spy charges. Why should Peiping, after toot- ing the coexistence fiorn at Mds- cow’s elbow, commit an act mak- ing coxistence less likely? There are probably several an- swers, but an important one lies in the Chinese political character and habit of thought.
