Charges of refusing to fight the fire were brought against them in Wicomico County Peoples Court by Forest Supervisor Robert G. Dennis. Dennis said Willie Ardis of Girdletree and Morris Dale of Snow Hill refused to fight a forest fire which burned 10 acres of woodland after having been placed under summons by a forestry department official, Dennis reported Ardis and Dale said they had to go to work.
