He gave as his opinion the thought that “‘one of our grave dangers is that we wil! continue to think of World War II as a prototype of any future wars.”’; He explained that he meant that such sweeping changes and discoveries are being made that Navy must be in a constant POF training and oxperiment- ing. An added reason for the need | for continuous Sonar training is that many men trained in this field receive offers of high-pay- ing jobs in civilian life and leave the service. | He asked his listeners, if they are! interested in the good of their loved ones and their ‘country, whenever} they have the opportunity to urge! trained men to' stay with the Navy, by all means to do so. He pointed out that | Rotary’s pattern of ideals in ser- | vice to humanity could be the so- | tation to world problems. An especially interesting fact was brought out. Cox said that in {the Korean War Rotary members jhad been killed simply because of tion which is the opposite of com- munistic beliefs, but that they took the risk willingly.
