The Trojans battled to a tie with Fort Pierce, one of the top school- boy pigskin aggregations in the state, in their curtain opener and last week they captured a 13-6 win over Pahokee. Key West walked off with-a 26-7 win over the same club but whether this means the Conchs have the edge is proble- matical. One thing is certain, however--- when the Conchs step out on the field tonight they will be in top shape since an open date last week has given them the opportunity to get in some rugged workouts under the direction of Coach Ed Beckman and his assistant Paul Davis. as poundage goes, the ind the visitors are pret- ty evenly matched but in age and experience, Lake Worth has a distinct advantage. Their start- ing eleven is loaded with veter- ans including seven performers with three years of experience in the gridiron pastime. The man to watch in the Trojan lineup according to those in the know is a 150-pound Halfback, Jon Jenniches who ran the Pahokee and Fort Pierce clubs ragged on the ground. He also flips a neat aerial and is not a man to meddle with when he is engaged in defen- sive play, 4 The balance of the Trojan back- field which averages 150-pounds, is made up of Al Ritchie, calling the signals Ray Barnes at half- back and Bob Brooks at fullback.
