NEWS OF INTEREST TO ITE Naval Air Station Wives Meet At Wylks Restaurant Mrs. Frank Pawela and Mrs. Jack Odbert were ‘hostesses at the monthly luncheon meeting of the Naval Air Station Officers’ Wives’ club held yesterday after- noon at Wylks restaurant on Stock Island, . Fifteen women attended the luncheon meeting. Mrs. Robert Quackenbush presided during the brief business meeting. Mrs. War- ren Klein, honor graduate of the Officers’ Wives’ Club sponsored Spanish class, gave a brief speech to the group in Spanish. Bouquets of gladioli and ferns decorated the luncheon tables. Mrs. Stone and her husband manage the Fort Taylor Officers’ Club here and the McChristians. who have visited them often, are well known here. Lt. Col. They now live at West Point, N.Y. where Lt. Col. MeChristian is serving on the staff of the U. S. Military Academy. Lt. Col. McChristian is also a friend of Major Bill Shedd, son of Maj. Gen. and Mrs. W. S. Shedd, now visiting here with Mrs. Shedd’s sisters, Miss Etta Patterson and Mrs. Harry Prindle. McChristian and the former. Miss Van Fleet were married at Ft. Benning, Ga. in September, 1940. He had been graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1939. During the war Lt. Col.
