The meeting was called to or- der by Dolice Curry, president, and the minutes were read by El- lie Rae Gwynn in the absence of Wilhelmina Harvey, Secretary. The project of agquiring histor- ; ical articles for display in the| Fort in conjunction with the Art and Historical Sogiety, was. dis- cussed with some enthusiasm. Ida Gelirich and Florence Ardagh have been appointed to head this important work. ~ Plans for attending the State | convention at Daytona Beach, Fla., were also discussed during the business session, and it is hoped that a group of members of the- organization will be able to attend. The introductions were ‘taken care of by Miss Lottie Green. “A Fantasy in a Japanese Garden” was presented ,by the Kindergarten pupils. under the direction of Miss Marie Frakes, “Mrs. Ralph Hartenstein and Mrs. Paul Walterson: The stage was transformed into a lovely Japan- ese garden complete with cherry trees in full bloom, gaily decora- ted lanterns and a large silver}: spider web. The scene opened with Dewdrops, Bluebirds and Frogs in the garden.» The Dew- drops wakened the. others by sprinkling dew; . birds and frogs danced. us The. Japanese ladies with their colorful parasols and “fang enter- ed and.danced, then they: watch- ed the bunnies and ‘clowns in succession. The Sandman, came in and put .the little ladies to sleep. The Moonbeams entered and danced followed -by the fairies who preceeded their Queen. Lit- tle Elves entered and had diffi- culty performing thgir dance be- -cause of a lazy one who needed -continual watching. Dawn entered and woke up the Japanese ladies followed by the rest of the cast in almost reverse order. * Much comment was given on ‘the beautiful and colorful cos- ‘ttumes the pupils wore in their ‘play and the deafening applause which followed the Finale spoke for itself, the success of the af- fair. Graduation exercises followed the Fantasy, each graduate march- ing proudly in their white cap and gown. Mulberry, Ark., High School Group Arrives A group of Mulberry, Arkan- sas High School students and teachers, numbering 24 persons in all, arrived in Key West yes- terday, having driven from Mul- berry in their own_ school bus, from which place -they set out last Saturday.
