Marie and Jerry find the little book on the lawn. They copy the poems on a piece of yellow paper which they find in the book. Theix sentimental intention is to bury it for their grandchildren. Looking about for a box, they find the case containing the - primrose petals. They put the paper inside and bury the case under the hedge. ‘Philip returns and, througk Marie, tells June that he left the talisman in her parasol: June doubts him because she ‘has not found it. Jerry .and Marie at length discover that the message was in the case they have buried and go to look for it, In the mean time, the case has been remove by Samson and Malindy, who saw the burial.and think it may con- tain money. When they do not find the case, June thinks they are all tricking her and is very angry Mrs, Manning and Uncle Mat- thew meet on the lawn. June Marie, Jerry and Philip, hiding behind the hedge, learn that they were once lovers, parted because of the paper which Uncle Mat thew promised to get for her wher they were very young. Jerry finds Samson and Malindy who produce the case. The pape upon which the poem wes written proves to be the lost document and June is assured that Philiy really did send the message a: he promised. With the return‘o: the paper the feud dies very sud- den'y. Jerry is received int< favor and Mrs. Manning is re united with Uncle Matthew, her old sweetheart. To THE DEMOCRATIC VOTERS OF THE TWENTY-FOURTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT OF FLORIDA I wish to announce my candi- dacy for re-election to the Flor- ida State Senate from the Twen- ty-fourth district, subject to the Democratic primary. There will be a number. of} matters of vital importance’to this District, and particularly to Mon- ree County, in the 1927 session of the Legislature. The bound- aries of the City of Key West will have to be changed to include the Florida East Coast Railway terminals. The ten year contract will expire with the 1927 session. | I am a party to the contract ex- cluding thé: -terminals! fromthé City in consideration of the con- struction of the Casa Marina ho- tel in 1917.
