An item which comes by way ot Hibbing will be of interest to our readers and that is that the Great Northern railroad will soon take over the Swan Lake Logging com- pany’s logging road running north from Chisholm through Sturgecr Lake and to extend the line tq Cook. The rumor is backed up by the appearance of Great Northern surveyors this week who are work- ing over the proposed line from Chisholm to Cook. It is believed that there may be no extension of the line to Cook this year, but that the Great Northern will take over the log- ging road and that machine shops will be put in at Chisholm this | fall.
