In accordance with the provisions of Section 859 of the Revised Laws of 1905, the County Commissioners and the County Auditor of Itasca County, Minnesota, met, as County Board of Equalization, at the office of the Coun- ty Auditor in the county Court House in the Village of Grand Rapids this 18th day of July, 1910, at ten o'clock a -_m. An examination was then made of the real estate assessment in the Vil- lage of Holman and changes were made as follows: The assessment against the follow- lots was cancelled for the reason the same are located upon the right-of-way of the Great Northern Railway: Lots 1 and 2, Block 2. Lots 11, 12 and 13, Block 3. Lots 4, 5, 6, i 7, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18, Block 4. ots 14, 15, 16 and 17, Block 9. The assessment of Lots 14 to 26 in- clusive, Block 6. Lots 17 to 32 in- clusive, Block 5, Lots 21 to 25 in- clusive, Block 4, Lots 1 to 12 inclusive, Block 9. Mather of the Sheldon-Mather Timber Company was present and re- quested a reduction in the assessed valuation of certain lands in Township 62, Range 23 and Township 62, Range 24; and in support thereof presented estimates showing the amount of merchantable timber upon said lands. Upon referring to the estimate made by the assessor upon the examination of said lands in the year 1908 it was found that there was a wide difference between the estimate made by the assessor and that presented Mr. Mather and it was thereupon decided to have the lands re-examined and estimated.
