The above map, suggested by one which appeared in the London Graphic back in 1914, gives an ex- cellent impression of the present battlefield in France. The blocks marked off on the map are 50 miles square and will aid in determining the distance between points. The solid black lines were the boundaries at THE SUNDAY STAR, WASHINGTO Siankenber ND the time the present drive was launched. The broken white line represents the extreme advance of the Ger- man troops in 1914. The broken black line is an ap- proximation of the battle front as indicated in the official communiques issued late yesterday afternoon.
