Mrs. Margaret Woodward, the former Margaret Rupli, an assistant in the Bureau of Labor Statistics, had been on duty in Amsterdam for N. B. C., but decided to leave the danger zone several days ago. But nowadays, when most bread is sliced and loosely wrapped, you just can’t tell how fresh bread is by squeezing it. So say research experts who checked the Bread Squeeze Test with hundreds of shoppers. ; They found that women again and again mis- took yesterday’s bread for roday’s. Even mistook 3rd-day loaves for fresh bread. Fortunately, now there IS a way to pick out a fresh loaf every time. Simply choose Julia Lee Wright’s bread, the loaf with date of FIRST-day freshness printed 'round the wrapper.
