NEW YORK, March 12.—Treasury spending, which decreased its deposits by $36,000,000 was apparent in the weekly condition report of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Member bank reserves increased by $4,000,000, the report disclosed, while Federal Reserve notes in circulation decreased by nearly $6,000,000, a re- versal of recent trends. Gold certificates on hand and due | decreased by $58,000,000, believed due, in part, to gold sterilization and to a shift to other banks.
