B—14 ROOSEVELT TALKS TONATIONTONIGAT All 4 Washington Stations Carry “Fireside Chat” From 10:30 to 11. RESIDENT ROOSEVELT'S fire- side chat to the Nation to- night will be broadcast by all four Washington stations— WRC, WMAL, WOL and WJSV. The President is scheduled to speak from 10:30 to 11 o'clock. His topic is “The State of the Nation,” but he is expected to touch chiefly on his plan for reorganizing the Supreme Court. GEORGE JESSEL, star of stage, screen and radio, will be Jack Oakie's guest during his “College” pro- gram on WJSV at 9:30. With Jessel will be featured Judy Garland and Georgie Stoll's Orchestra. HUSBANDS who come home from work, eat dinner and immediately fall asleep in an easy chair will be discussed during the “Husbands and Wives” program on WMAL at 9:30. Remedies for curing a husband who smokes in bed also will be a topic of discussion. ANDY IONA and his Hawailans will | join Al Pearce and his Gang as guest stars of the “Watch the Fun | Go By"” program on WJSV at 9. The string group will present Hawaiian music in & new swing rhythm.
