Tfl! membership campaign of the Methodist Union and Church Ex- tension Soclety, which is in full swing throughout the city, with exchange of several pastors tomorrow, will come to & climax at the victory dinner at Calvary Church Monday, January 25, when Dr. Ralph W. Sockman of New York City will deliver the principal address. Dr. Sockman is pastor of Christ Church in New York and known as one of the outstanding ministers of the Methodist church. The dinner will begin at 6:30. The Methodist Union, which is sponsoring_the campaign, is headed by Renah F. Camalier, president, and Bishop Edwin H. Hughes, resident bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Other officers of the union, which belongs to the Washington dis- trict, Baltimore Conference of the Methodist Church, are as follows: W. 'W. Marlow, vice president; Roy H. ‘Wolfe, vice president; Edwin Dice, re- cording secretary; William E. Springer, corresponding secretary; C. Wendel Shoemaker, treasurer, and Charles H. Marmion, rector of St. John's Church, Columbus, Texas, has accepted the call to become assistant minister in St. Alban’s Parish, effective February 1. He will succeed Rev. Edward B. Harris who resigned to undertake new work in rural Virginia. ‘While studying for the ministry at the Virginia Theological Seminary, prior to 1933, the Rev.
