SOCIETY By The Way— (Continued From Third Page.) was having her usual good time and rush. To no one is the Austrian native costume more becoming than Valerie de Sibour. lovely. The usual delicious supper, She was too for which Mrs. Curtis is well known, was served in the dining room and it was one of those evenings when one could have a good time just sitting and watching the danecers until the spirit moved ome to gambol about the dance floor to gay college songs. It was indeed a pleasure to see Mrs. Dwight Davis again, up from her Florida plantation. She has gone to New York until Wednesday, but will return to Washington jor another fleeting visit before returning ¢o New York to spend Christmas with her mother, Mrs. Paul Morton. Then once more she will return to Tallahassee, and it will be the middle or end of January before Washington can count definitely upon having her here. Parties such as the one Saturday night should never end, at least that surely was the feeling of the debutantes, Ethel Worthington and Bettina Belmont, and many of those other attractive young girls, including Marguerite Hagner, Emily Davis and Alice Tuckerman. Eleanor Roosevelt and Julie Dell Zimmerman looked not over 4 years old dressed in short gingham dresses with huge white hair ribbons and short white socks, and the next youngest-looking person there was Mrs. Garrett's sister, Mrs. Alasdair Maclean, who was dressed in bright blue satin overalls and a white blouse and having just as good a time as any debutante in the room. Mrs. Curtis left yesterday for New York and should have been feeling very pleased over the success of her party. * *x HEVY CHASE CLUB on Saturday night presented a very festive front and Christine Gawn's dinner for over a hundred of the younger set greatly added te the stag line.
