BY VICTOR EUBANK, Associated Press Pinanciai Writer. NEW YORK, December 11.—Spe- cialty stocks held the buying limelight in today’s market, many getting un fractions to 2 or more points. At the same time a number of recent leaders, confronted by selling pressure, were unable to make headway and some backed up for substantial losses. Transfers were in the neighborhood of 2,700,000 shares. Low-priced issues splattered the ticker tape throughout the session, and for a while in the morning printed quotations were a2 minute or so behind dealings on the floor of the Exchange. Brokers saw nothing especially in the news to spur the list one way or the other. There was little change in the industrial scene, and the Brit- ish King shift was thought to have lost much of its influence marketwise. tocks in the popular column in- cluded Goodyear, Goodrich, U. 8.
