BERLIN (#)—Imports of rags into Germany are being curtailed 20 to 30 per cent, it is announced, in order to save the Reichsbank's dwindling for- eign currencies. Last year Germany imported 70,000 tons of rags, mostly from France and Holland. Federal Employes, has gone over the top in the campaign to raise $1,000 toward the federation’s $100,000 merit system “defense fund.” It was the first unit to reach its goal.
