Donkey Base Ball Benefit For Children’s Free Milk Fund at Grif- fith Stadium. ‘The fund for free milk for under- nourished children of the District will be augmented by the ‘proceeds from a donkey base ball game Tues- day afternoon, September 24, which will be played in the Griffith Stadium. | Arrangements for the game are being | completed and tickets, for which a | nominal charge will be made, will be placed on sale today. Mrs. George O'Connor is chairman for the fund which is distributed among the chil- | dren in the District of Columbia who are undernourished. ~ Work | among the less fortunate of Washing- ton in the supplying of milk has met with much success in past years and | each year numbers of children are | benefited to the extent of going to rchool regularly through the Winter. The cost, through this fund, of sup- | plying a child with a quart of milk a | day through one year is only $40 | and a goodly sum is expected to be | realized through the ball game Tues- day. | Additional amusement is being pro-f| vided through a variety show and a | pony will be presented as a door | prize.
