B4 » D.C. WOMANHELD FOR CRASH DEATH Mrs. J. R. Bell Is Charged With Manslaughter in Maryland Collision. By the Associated Press. WESTMINSTER, Md., September 12. ~Mrs. J. R. Bell of 1613 Harvard street, Washington, was under $2,000 bond today in connection with an au- tomobile accident in which Mrs. Sarah Gerson, 52, of Frostburg was killed. Mrs. Gerson died of a fractured skull en route to a Baltimore hospital last night after a machine in which she was a passenger collided with Mrs. Bell's automobile at Eldersburg. A charge of involuntary manslaugh- ter was placed against Mrs. Bell and Magistrate Sherman Flannigan set an inquest for next Wednesday. Mrs. Bell is the wife of J. R. Bell, general attorney for the Southern Railway, with offices in the Transpor- tation Building. He was on a business trip in the Middle West when the ac- cident occurred, but is expected to re- turn tomorrow morning, it was said at his office. MME.
