Weddings of Saturday Church and Home Events of Particular Interest to Friends. The wedding of Miss Enid Eliza- beth Miller, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Miller of Madison, Wis, and Mr. Daniel S. Gerig, jr., of Wash- ngton, the son of Mr. D. S. Gerig of Goshen, Ind, took place Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The ceremony was held in the Sixth Presbyterian Church of this city, with the Rev. William Christian officiating. The ceremony was very simple wita only a few close friends of the bride and bridegroom in attendance. Mr. Edward J. D. Morgan of Milwaukee served as best man. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. {Gerig left by motor for a two-week wedding trip in New England. After their return they will reside in Wash- Angton, where Mr. Gerig is an econc- mist with the N. R. A. The bride graduated from Layton Art Schocl in Milwaukee and also studied at the University of Wisconsin. She has been engaged in both com- mercial art work and private art work and has had paintings and sculptures entered in exhibitions in both Milwaukee and Madison. Mr. Gerig is a graduate of Wooster Col- Jege and received his doctor's degree in economics from the University of Awisconsin in 1934. Prior to his as- sociation with the research and plan- ning division of N. R. A, he was an instructor in economics at lthe Uni- versity of Wisconsin. The wedding of Miss Louise Garland 'Reed, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Garland Reed, to Mr. Walter Win- field Finagin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Finagin, took place Saturday morning in the home of the bride’s parents. The arrangements for the wedding ‘were particularly effective, with a pro- | fusion of dahlias and gladioli forming a charming setting for the wedding. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Howard F. Downs of the Methodist Episcopal Church. ‘The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a lovely gown of white crepe trimmed in white mousseline de sole. Her large white hat was trimmed with white satin rib- | bon and a cluster of orange blossoms and she wore a corsage bouquet of gardenias and lilies of the valley. Mrs. Thomas Schmidt, sister of the bride, was her only attendant and wore & pink chiffon gown, with a large pink hair hat trimmed in pink velvet ribbon. Her other accessories matched her gown and she wore a - corsage bouquet of pink roses. ® Mr. Henry Voegel of this city was #he best man.
