TALVADGE RAPS PROGESSAGLEVY Declares He Will “Stump” Cotton Belt to Stop “Damnable Tax.” By the Associated Press. ATLANTA, April 16.—Gov. Eugene Talmadge announced today he was getting ready to “stump” the cotton | belt “to put a stop to this proceulnx% tax.” The Governor made his announce- ment after conferring with T. M. Training of adolescent boys and girls to meet rapidly changing con- | ditions in the world was urged today | by Dr. Winifred Richmond, St. Eliza- | beth's Hospital psychiatrist, before the twenty-second annual Convention of the District of Columbia Con- gress of Parents and Teachers, meet- | ing in the Interstate Commerce and Labor auditorium. Parents should work toward this| end in training their offspring, she| said, rather than build “air castles”| while thinking what great professional men or scientists they want their| sons to be. | Speaking on “Adolescence—1935 | Style,” Dr. Richmond said adolescence | itself is essentially the same as always, | but declared the adolescent child of today has different problems to face| than those faced by past generations. This, she indicated., is due to rapid changes in the unsettled world of | today. DR. GLEIS TO SPEAK Will Address German Literary! Society Saturday Night.
