CHOIRS T0 JOIN AT CATHEDRAL St. Paul’s of Baltimore Will Assist in Rendition of “The Crucifixion.” At Washington Cathedral at 4 o'clock tomorrow the choir of St. Paul's parish in Baltimore will join with the Cathe- dral choir of men and boys in ren- dering 8ir John Stainer’s cantata “The Crucifixion.” This will be the first time since the Great Choir of the Cathedral was opened for public wor- ship that two choirs have united in the presentation of a noted choral work. ‘The Cathedral choir will go to Balti- more next Wednesday evening to join with St. Paul's choir in a presentation of the same cantata in that city. Canon Anson Phelps Stokes of the Cathedral staff will deliver the sermon at the celebration of the holy com- munion in the Great Choir at 11 am. tomorrow. The early celebration of the holy communion will be held in the Bethlehem Chapel at 7:30 am. In order that visitors may be es- corted through the Cathedral, volun- teer Pilgrim Aides are on duty in the Great Choir on week days from 9 a.m. to 5 pm. Pilgrims are conducted at short intervals through the Cathedral, including the newly opened children’s chapel, the crypt chapels and the curator’s office at the west end of the foundations. Group pilgrimages are held on Sun- days following the 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. services. DR. JOHN C. BALL ANNOUNCES TOPICS Mrs. Everett Nash to Lead B. A. U. at Metropolitan Baptist Church. BLACKWELDER CONTINUES SERIES Lutheran Pastor Speaks on “Can | Jesus Be Proved?” at Church Tomorrow. At the morning service tomorrow of the Lutheran Church of the Reformation Dr. Oscar F. Black- welder, the pastor, will speak on “Can | Jesus Be Proved?” The choir will sing “Praise the Lord Jehovah,” by Stéarns, and the organ prelude will be the “Second Movement of the Pirst Sonata,” by Borowski. Dr. Blackwelder will continue his series of sermons on “Master Pictures 6f the Master's Face,” speaking on Ruben’s famous picture, “The Descent From the Cross,” at 8 p.m. The musi- cal service will be featured by a male quartet and anthem, God,” by Morse. Dvorak’s “Largo From New World Symphony” will be the special organ number.
