FINANCIAL. U5, BONDS EASE; |[BONDS ON N CORPORATES GAIN Moderate Losses Contrast- ed With Rallying Trend of Junior List. By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, March &—Ccnfllctlng] trends featured today's bond market, with the United States Government list showing moderate losses against rallying tendencies in the secondary classifications of the corporate list. Prime company loans were generally firm. Interpretations placed upon the re- marks of President Roosevelt with re- spect to price levels and the debt struc- ture appeared to have some influence on the easier tone of the Federals, and the same factor was associated with a sizable recovery in the higher-yielding issues after they had shown early heaviness. The market settled down in the late trading, although Governments con- tinued around their lows, showing losses ranging from 2-32ds to 8-32ds of a point. There were scattered points of weakness in the general list, reflect- ing selling on special developments. Columbia Gas & Electric 5s dropped 11, points to 77'5. fqllowing an- nouncement of the Government's in- Junction suit under the anti-trust act.
