Summer sessions will be dropped. The readjustments to be made in academic courses will be accom- plished with a view to the least possible inconvenience to students now matricu- lating, and a committee on instruction and research was named to act in the matter after consultation with the presi- gent of the university and the present ieans. Various Other Courses. Courses in education and home eco- nomics will be offered in the college of liberal arts as undergraduate major subjects preparatory to graduate or pro- fessional study in these fields. Music and art courses will continue on the present basis for the next year, but will be the subjects of a survey by a spe- cial committee with a view to possible readjustments. An instalilment plan of paying tui- tion next year will be established. Another special committee will inves- tigate teachers' salaries in connection ‘with the establishment of a basic pay- ment system, the reports to be sub- mitted at the Fall meeting of the board. It was voted as a matter of policy to continue employment of as many as possible of the present staff, budget re- quirements and compulsory retrench- ments to be met through reductions in salaries. In cases where courses are dropped, efforts will be made to absorb teachers in other departments.
