REAL ESTATE. POPULATION TREND IFLUENGES TAKE| Movement to Cities Caused Increase in Local Burdens, Dr. Heer Reports. The continued drift of the popula- tion to the citles of the country dur- ing the past two_decades had much to do with the mounting totals of local taxation, according to findings of the President’s Research Committee on So- cial Trends. ‘The chapter on “Trends in Taxation and Public Finance” was prepared for the committee by Dr. Clarence Heer of the University of North Carolina, who is vice president of the Tax Research Foundation. Cites Factors in Costs.
