A-8 « CHRISTMAS DRAMA 10 BE PRESENTED New York fivenue Preshy- terian Church Program Tuesday Evening. At the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church tomorrow morning Dr. Joseph R. Sizoo will have for his subject “Life Undisclosed” and in the evening “The Man Who Does His Best.” A church drama of Yuletide will be presented Tuesday evening by the Re- ligious Drama Committee of the Wash- ington Federation of Churches. ‘The Christmas exercises of the church Bible school will be observed Thursday evening in the lecture room. The young people will present their Christmas pro- gram. The annual Christmas party for the children of the beginners' and primary departments of the church school will be held Saturday afternoon. Miss Ger- trude Niemeyer and Miss Muriel Keller, superintendents of these departments, have arranged the program. Dr. Albert Joseph McCartney. min- ister of the Covenant-First Presby- terian Church, will take as his subject tomorrow morning “Our Dead Tyran- nies.” This is the fifth discussed under the eral theme of “Soldiers of Christ, Arise.” The final one will be next Sunday morning—Christmas— when special music has been arranged by the Covenant Quartet, under the leadership of George M. Wilson, or- ganist. The Sunday school will present ‘Thursday evening a Christmas cantata, entitled “The Magi's Gift.” Tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. Rev. J. Woodman Babbitt, will give Dickens' immortal classic, “The Christmas Carol.” ‘The Society of the Covenant will meet December 21, at 11 am., in the chapel. CHRISTMAS PROGRAM | AT ALBRIGHT CHURCH ‘White Gifts for the King Will Be Prepared for Pres- entation. The Christmas program will begin at Albright Memorial Evangelical Church tomorrow morning at the Sunday school session, which opens at 9:45 o'clock. The white gifts for the King will be prepared for presentation at a later service during the day. The two choirs will render their first Christmas music at the service at 11 o'clock. The ser- mon for this service will be based on the theme “Hitch Your Wagon to Beth- lehem’'s Star.” The white gifts for the King service will take place at 5 p.m. At this service the children of the Sunday school will take part and at the close of the serv- ice each class will present their white gifts for the King. These gifts will provide Christmas baskets for the needy and funds for the Orphans and Old People’s Home of the church. New officers for the Senior Christian Endeavor Society are: John Many, president; Phil Smith, vice president; Miss Olga Dryden, secretary; Ekron Stover, treasurer: Miss Bessie Addam- son, corresponding secretary; Miss Eleanor Garner, pianist. ‘The co-ed class of high school stu- dents will meet Monday night in the church parlors under the direction of Phil Smith. CHILDREN PREPARE FOR GIFT SERVICE Dr. Braskamp to Preach Tomorrow on “Hall Marks of Christianity” at Gunton-Temple Memorial. Dr. Bernard Braskamp, pastor of the Gunton-Temple Memorial Presbyterian Church, will preach on “The Hall Marks of Christianity” tomorrow morn- ing. Tre Sunday school will have a white gift service at 9:45 a.m., when members of the school will bring gifts of money, food, toys and worn but serviceable clothing. The committee is undertaking to minister to several families in the church and to others whose needs have been furnished by relief organizations of the city.
