Skinner of Tazewell Coun- ty held to the grand jury for the death | of Martin Virant, 37, East Peoria miner. Virant, held as a witness in an inves- tigaticn into the slaying of Lewis Nelan a saloon brawl, was found dead, | hanging from the door of his cell in the Tazewell County Jail September 1. He previously had been questioned by ‘Tazewell cfficers. It was reported at the time he had committed suicide. After an examination of the body by Dr. Willlam D.
