Crosby, cartoonist and author, has pur- chased from the trustees of Swartzell, Rheem & Hensey Co. the Franklyon Farm, one of the show places of Fair- fag County, located on Chain Bridge Highway, between Langley and Mc- Lean. The consideration was reported to be $85,000. With consumation of this sale, han- dled by Clifton Laughlin of McLean, Crosby becomes owner of one of the largest estates in Northern Virginia.
