Electric power production in the week ended May 21 made a slightly better comparison with the like 1931 period than was reported for the previous week. According to the National Electric Light Association, output amounted to 1,435,731,000 kilowatt «hours, which com- pares with 1,644,783,000 kilowatt hours in the corresponding week of last year, a decrease of 12.7 per cent. In the revioun week output was 13.1 per cent low last year. Steel t production declined to 24 per cent of the npncny from 25 per cent, according to the Iron Age. Although’ there were increases in out- t, in some sections, they were not suf- clent to offset the decreases in other parts of the country.
