A “Bicentennial musicale” will given in the Washington Auditorium Friday night by the Fisk Jubilee Sing- ers of Pisk University, Nashville, Tenn., under the auspices of the National Me- morial Association, in co-operation with the United States and District George Washington Bicentennial Commissions. Also on the program will be George Garner of Chicago, well known tenor, and Warner Laws ented colored pianist. The Fisk Ju- bilee Singers are direct descendants of the original exponents of Negro spirit- uals, and have become a musical tradi- tion of international significance. April 11.—The body of John David Guelph, who laid claim to the English throne, was embalmed today, his widow accepting the word of physicians that he was dead. Guelph was pronounced dead last Wednesday, but the widow declared her husband was in a state of suspended animation, & condition she sald he had been in on five previous occasions. She kept a vigil at his bier in the undertaking parlor until convinced early yesterday that he would not return to life. Guelph claimed to be a son of King Edward VII by a morgantic mar- riage. McKee, were called in court today to stand trial on charges they stole $213,267 from the company. The joint indictment accuses the three men of conspiracy and nine counts of grand theft of sums ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 between January 1, 1929, and December 3, 1930, Talbot is former chairman of the board. Fuller was president and Mc- Kee was auditor. The company is in Teceivership. The prosecution has summoned 65 witnesses.
