LURAY, Va, November 30.— The trial of Mrs. Blanche Deaver, charged with the murder of her husband, Charles Deaver, on November 7, opened this morning with the calling of two eyewitnesses, Hubert and Irving Mane uel of near Luray, who were at Riley- ville and happened to pass by in a car_on the day the murder occurred. ‘They testified that they heard no threats made by Charles Deaver, but did see Mrs. Deaver shoot him. There are 25 witnesses summoned, and the case may go over until tomorrow. The defense claims that Mrs. Deaver was in constant fear of her life and the lives of her children.
